২৬ জুলাই '১৫, ঢাকা মামার বাসা থেকে রওনা দিয়ে ভুয়াপুর বাসস্ট্যান্ডে নামলাম। নামার সাথে সাথেই ফোনটা বেজে উঠলো, অপরিচিত নাম্বার থেকে কল রিসিভ করলাম। শুনলাম ওয়ালটন গ্রুপ থেকে কল দিয়েছে, কারণ আগামিকাল সকাল ১০.০০ টায় খিলগাঁও অফিসে যেতে হবে। এখানে বলে রাখা ভালো যে, আমার এক বন্ধু মুস্তাকের মাধ্যমে তিন মাস আগে সিভি জমা দিয়েছিলাম। যথারীতি সকাল ১০ টায় অফিসে উপস্থিত হলাম। ১০ টায় মুশারফ ভাই আমাদের লিখিত পরীক্ষা নিলেন। মনে আছে, ওই পরীক্ষা ছিল ৫০ নাম্বারের, আমি সম্ভবত ৪৬ থেকে ৪৭ পেয়েছিলাম। তারপর লাঞ্চের পর শিবলি স্যারের রুমে ভাইভার জন্য ডাকা হল। ভাইভা বোর্ডে ছিলেন তৎকালীন এস সি এম এর হেড সোহেল আজম স্যার এবং শিবলি স্যার। তারা আমাকে প্রশ্ন ছুড়ে দিলেন, আমিও ঠিকঠাক উত্তর দিলাম। মনে হল ভাইভাও ভালো হল। তারপর ডাকা হল আইটি পরীক্ষার জন্য নাজমুল ভাইয়ের রুমে। আইটি পরীক্ষা খুব একটা ভালো হল না, তখন অতটা এক্সেল জানতাম না। আমাকে বলা হল এক্সেল শিখে আসতে। আবার ২৯ জুলাই এ আসলাম এক্সেল শিখে। এবার আবার ভাইভা, এবার ভাইভা বোর্ডে গিয়ে দেখি নতুন একজন স্যার, তিনি আর কেউ নন তানিন স্যার, পরবর্তীতে যিনি আমার আদর্শ এবং আমার হাতে খড়ি দেন। যাই হোক, উনি আমাকে অনেক কঠিন কঠিন প্রশ্ন করা শুরু করলেন, আমিও দিতে থাকলাম। উনি ভাইভা শেষে সিঁড়ি দিয়ে নামার সময় আমাকে ডেকে বললেন, "আপনি কালকেই জয়েন করেন আর এক্সেল শিখেন ভালোভাবে।"

পরদিন অফিসে আসলাম, এসে রকিবুল ভাইয়ের পিছনে পিছনে ঘুরতে লাগলাম, উনি কখন জয়েন করাবেন। ঠিক তখনই তানিন স্যারের সাথে দেখা, উনি বললেন, "জয়েন করেছেন?" আমি বললাম, "না।" তখন তিনি রকিবুল ভাইয়ের কাছে নিয়ে গিয়ে বললেন, "উনাকে এখনই জয়েন করান।" ঠিক তখনই উনি আমাকে জয়েন করালেন। জয়েন করার পর উনি বললেন, "৫ তলায় যান, সেখানে সোহেল আজম স্যার আছেন, উনাকে বলবেন যে আমি নতুন আপনাদের বিভাগে জয়েন করেছি।" কিন্তু আমি উনার রুমে গিয়ে দেখি উনি নেই, তাই রুমের সামনে অপেক্ষা করছিলাম। তখন দেখি তানিন স্যার, উনি আমাকে বললেন, "আমার সাথে আসেন।" তারপর উনার সাথে গেলাম, উনি আমাকে নিয়ে গেলেন সাদ্দাম ভাইয়ের কাছে আর সাদ্দাম ভাইকে বললেন আমাকে কাজ শিখাতে। ওইদিনের মত অফিস শেষ। পরদিন আর একজন নতুন আসলো, তিনি শুভ ভাই। তিনিও আমাদের সাথে কাজ শুরু করলেন।

এইভাবে চলতে থাকল আর তানিন স্যারের প্রতি আমাদের মুগ্ধতা বাড়তেই থাকল। খুব ধীরে ধীরে আমাদেরকে দায়িত্ব অর্পণ করতে থাকলেন। আমরা তিনজন, সাদ্দাম ভাই, নাজমুল ভাই, আর আমি একত্রে এক রুমে বসতাম। মাঝে মাঝে শুভ ভাই ডেস্কেই ঘুমাত, একদিন তানিন স্যার দেখেই ফেললেন।

এইভাবে চলতে চলতে তানিন স্যার একদিন বললেন, "মিলন, তুমি খিলগাঁও এ তারিক ভাইয়ের সাথে কাজ করবা আর আমাকে প্রতিদিন আপডেট দিবা।" এই বলে নিয়ে গেলেন তিন তলায় তারিক স্যারের রুমে। গিয়ে উনার সাথে আর রায়হান স্যারের সাথে পরিচয় হল। ধীরে ধীরে ওইখানের অনেকের সাথে পরিচয় হল, যেমন ব্রজ স্যার, সাজ্জাদ ভাই, হিমেল ভাই, তুহিন স্যার। একদিন গেলাম সেন্ট্রাল স্টোরে তানিন স্যারের সাথে, উনি সেখানে সবার সাথে পরিচয় করিয়ে দিলেন, যেমন আলামিন, রহিম, মনির, শাহনুর, অভিষেক ভাই।

তারিক স্যারের সাথে কাজ করতে করতেই তুহিন স্যার, জাহিদ স্যার উনাদের সাথে পরিচয় হল। এইভাবে সাত মাস চলার পর শুনি আমাদের হেড স্যার সোহেল স্যার বিদায় নিয়েছেন। কিছুদিন পর আসলো হেড স্যার হিসাবে তাসলিম স্যার। উনি যেন প্রথম থেকেই আমাকে অন্যভাবে দেখতেন, খুবই আদর করতেন। এর কিছুদিন পর রাজু স্যার, মুস্তাক স্যার আসলেন। ইতিমধ্যে রায়হান স্যার আর তারিক স্যারের সাথে আমরা অনেক মিশে গেছি। আর তানিন স্যার তো সবসময় আমাদের সুপারভাইজার হিসাবে আছেনই। তারপর অফিসের সবাই মিলে বাইরে খাওয়া শুরু হল রায়হান স্যারের মাধ্যমে।

তারপর চলে আসলো রমজান মাস। রমজান মাসে রায়হান স্যার আর তাসলিম স্যারের উদ্যোগে প্রায় প্রতিদিনই ইফতার করা হত। মিস করতেন তানিন স্যার তার পরিবারের জন্য। আর বাইরে রেস্টুরেন্টে খাওয়া দাওয়া তো চলতোই।

এইবার সবাই অনেকদিন কাজ করার পর আনন্দ করার জন্য গেলাম মিরপুরে ক্রিকেট খেলার জন্য। খেললাম ক্রিকেট, জিতলাম সবাই।

এরপর কাজ করতে করতে কখন যেন মুস্তাক স্যারের সাথে একটা ভালো সম্পর্ক হয়ে গেছে। আর রাজু স্যারের কাছে থেকে এক্সেল শেখা ছিল অন্যরকম মজার। আর তাসলিম স্যারও আপন হয়ে গিয়েছিলেন।

মাঝে মাঝে তানিন স্যারের বকা আর সাদ্দাম ভাই আর শুভ ভাইয়ের ঝগড়া করতে ভালোই লাগত। আবার অফিস শেষে খিলগাঁও এর রাস্তায় একত্রে বসে গেমস খেলা, দেখা আর নুসরাতকে (আমাদের দেয়া নাম) নিয়ে আলাপ করা, বাইরে খেতে যাওয়া।

এর মধ্যে আবার সালমান ভাইয়ের সেবা যত্ন তো ছিলই। এরপর আমাদের মাটির মসজিদের কাছের অফিস ছেড়ে নতুন অফিস আলম মঞ্জিলে সবাইকে চলে আসতে হল। এখানে এসেই রায়হান স্যারকে হারাতে হল, কারণ রায়হান স্যার অন্য একটা বিভাগে চলে গেলেন। কিন্তু শীতকাল থাকায় ব্যাডমিন্টন খেলার সুবাধে সবার সাথে আবার দেখা হত। রাব্বি ভাই ভাবিকে বাইরে থেকে তালা দিয়ে খেলতে চলে আসতেন খিলগাঁও প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় মাঠে।

আর বৃষ্টি হলেই আমার হাতের খিচুরি রান্না করা খিচুরি মিস হত না। আমরা শুধুই বৃষ্টির অপেক্ষায় থাকতাম, কখন বৃষ্টি হবে, কখন খিচুরি খাব।

আর তাসলিম স্যার আমাকেই তার রুম থেকে বেশি ডেকে ডেকে বলতেন, "অমুককে পাঠিয়ে দেন।" এই ব্যাপারটা আমার অনেক ভালো লাগত। আর নামাজের সময় সবাই একত্রে জামাতের সাথে নামাজ পড়তাম। নামাজ পড়াতেন রিমন স্যার।

এইভাবেই ভালোই চলছিল, কিন্তু...

কর্পোরেট অফিসের আরও কিছু স্মৃতি

কর্পোরেট অফিসে কাজ করার সময় অনেক মজার এবং স্মরণীয় ঘটনা ঘটেছে। একদিন অফিসে সবাই মিলে সারপ্রাইজ পার্টি আয়োজন করেছিলাম তানিন স্যারের জন্মদিন উপলক্ষে। সবাই মিলে কেক কাটা, গান গাওয়া, আর মজার মজার গল্প করা—সব মিলিয়ে দিনটি ছিল অসাধারণ।

আরেকদিন অফিসের সবাই মিলে পিকনিকে গিয়েছিলাম। পিকনিকের দিনটি ছিল খুবই আনন্দময়। সকালের নাস্তা থেকে শুরু করে বিকেলের খেলা, সবকিছুই ছিল মজার। বিশেষ করে, ক্রিকেট খেলার সময় সবাই মিলে যে মজা করেছিলাম, তা কখনও ভুলব না।

কর্পোরেট অফিসে কাজ করার সময় অনেক কিছু শিখেছি। বিশেষ করে, তানিন স্যারের কাছ থেকে শিখেছি কিভাবে চাপের মধ্যে কাজ করতে হয় এবং কিভাবে দলগতভাবে কাজ করতে হয়। তারিক স্যারের কাছ থেকে শিখেছি কিভাবে সময় ব্যবস্থাপনা করতে হয় এবং কিভাবে কাজের প্রতি নিষ্ঠা রাখতে হয়।

এইসব স্মৃতি আমার জীবনের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অংশ হয়ে থাকবে। কর্পোরেট অফিসের এই সময়গুলো আমাকে অনেক কিছু শিখিয়েছে এবং আমার পেশাগত জীবনে অনেক সাহায্য করেছে।

From Matir Mosjid to Alam Manzil

On July 26, 2015, I set off from my uncle's house in Dhaka and arrived at the Bhuyapur bus stand. As soon as I got off, my phone rang from an unknown number. I received the call and heard that it was from Walton Group, asking me to come to their Khilgaon office at 10:00 AM the next day. It's worth mentioning that I had submitted my CV through my friend Mustak three months earlier. As expected, I arrived at the office at 10:00 AM. Musharraf Bhai took our written test at 10:00 AM. I remember the test was out of 50 marks, and I scored around 46 to 47. After lunch, I was called for a viva in Shibli Sir's room. The viva board included the then SCM head, Sohel Azam Sir, and Shibli Sir. They asked me questions, and I answered them correctly. I felt the viva went well. Then I was called for an IT test in Nazmul Bhai's room. The IT test didn't go very well as I didn't know much Excel at that time. I was told to learn Excel and come back. On July 29, I returned after learning Excel. This time, during the viva, I saw a new sir on the board, none other than Tanin Sir, who later became my mentor. He started asking me tough questions, and I answered them. After the viva, while going down the stairs, he called me and said, "Join tomorrow and learn Excel properly."

The next day, I came to the office and started following Rakibul Bhai, waiting for him to join me. Just then, I met Tanin Sir, who asked, "Have you joined?" I replied, "No." He then took me to Rakibul Bhai and said, "Join him now." Rakibul Bhai joined me immediately. After joining, he told me to go to the 5th floor and inform Sohel Azam Sir that I had joined their department. But when I went to his room, he wasn't there, so I waited outside. Then I saw Tanin Sir, who asked me to come with him. He took me to Saddam Bhai and asked him to teach me the work. That day ended like that. The next day, another new person joined, Shuvo Bhai. He also started working with us.

Things continued like this, and our admiration for Tanin Sir kept growing. Gradually, he started assigning us responsibilities. The three of us, Saddam Bhai, Nazmul Bhai, and I, used to sit in one room. Sometimes Shuvo Bhai would sleep at his desk, and one day Tanin Sir caught him.

One day, Tanin Sir said, "Milon, you will work with Tariq Bhai in Khilgaon and update me daily." He took me to the third floor to Tariq Sir's room, where I met him and Raihan Sir. Gradually, I got to know many people there, like Broj Sir, Sajjad Bhai, Himel Bhai, and Tuhin Sir. One day, I went to the central store with Tanin Sir, where he introduced me to everyone, like Alamin, Rahim, Monir, Shahnoor, and Abhishek Bhai.

While working with Tariq Sir, I got to know Tuhin Sir and Zahid Sir. After seven months, I heard that our head, Sohel Sir, had left. A few days later, Taslim Sir joined as the head. He seemed to have a special affection for me from the beginning. A few days later, Raju Sir and Mustak Sir joined. By then, we had become very close with Raihan Sir and Tariq Sir. And Tanin Sir was always our supervisor. Then, through Raihan Sir, we started having meals outside with the whole office.

Then came the month of Ramadan. During Ramadan, Raihan Sir and Taslim Sir organized iftar almost every day. Tanin Sir missed it because of his family commitments. And dining out at restaurants continued.

After working for a long time, we went to Mirpur to play cricket for some fun. We played cricket and won.

While working, I developed a good relationship with Mustak Sir. Learning Excel from Raju Sir was a different kind of fun. And Taslim Sir also became very close.

Sometimes, Tanin Sir's scolding and the quarrels between Saddam Bhai and Shuvo Bhai were enjoyable. After office, we would sit on the streets of Khilgaon, play games, meet, and talk about Nusrat (a name we gave). We would go out to eat.

During this time, Salman Bhai's care and attention were always there. Then we had to move from our office near the Mud Mosque to the new office at Alam Manzil. Here, we lost Raihan Sir as he moved to another department. But since it was winter, we would meet everyone again while playing badminton. Rabbi Bhai would lock his wife outside and come to play at Khilgaon Primary School ground.

And whenever it rained, my khichuri (a traditional dish) cooking was a must. We would just wait for the rain to have khichuri.

Taslim Sir would often call me from his room and say, "Send so-and-so." I liked this a lot. And during prayer time, we would all pray together in congregation. Rimon Sir would lead the prayers.

Everything was going well, but...

More Corporate Office Memories

Working in the corporate office brought many fun and memorable moments. One day, we organized a surprise party for Tanin Sir's birthday. Cutting the cake, singing songs, and sharing funny stories—everything made the day unforgettable.

Another day, the whole office went on a picnic. The picnic day was full of joy. From breakfast in the morning to games in the afternoon, everything was fun. Especially the cricket match we played was unforgettable.

I learned a lot while working in the corporate office. Especially from Tanin Sir, I learned how to work under pressure and how to work as a team. From Tariq Sir, I learned time management and dedication to work.

These memories will always be an important part of my life. The time spent in the corporate office taught me a lot and helped me in my professional life.
